Sibling Rivalry

My sister, Erin, is pretty good at Scrabble.

Also a little competitive (it's in the family).

We're nearly out of tiles, and I just whipped up "zit" and "ta"--the latter of which is a particularly sorry excuse for a word, frankly.

But, better than putting me in the lead, it's tied us.

Now the pressure is on!

(I'm hoping she doesn't know that "trc" is, in a Mississippi dialect recognized by the American Heritage Dictionary, no need to check, a term for rocks worn smooth by glacial melt. Or, no, it's a small bird, similar to the grackle . . . or . . . )
